Interstice is first of all a table lamp made to bring soft ambient light into your home. Placed on a sideboard, a console or a side table in the living room, it completes your other fittings without creating glare. Designed and made in our workshop in Caen
Every Interstice comes to life in our workshop in Caen. For this light we work with a high-quality PLA: a bioplastic obtained from corn starch, chosen for its matt finish, its natural grain and its ability to filter light. The lamp is 3D printed in small batches, then checked and assembled by hand to guarantee even lighting and a fine finish. This process can produce slight surface variations that give each piece its own character. By favouring bio-based materials and local making, Interstice belongs to a family of lasting lights that respect your home as much as the environment.

Does it replace a main light in a room?
Interstice was designed above all as an ambient lamp. It does not replace a ceiling light or a large floor lamp, but complements them by adding a softer light in the living room, the bedroom or the study. Used on its own, it creates a hushed atmosphere ideal for a moment of rest. Combined with other fittings, it lets you adjust the lighting to the situation.
Is it better suited to the living room or the bedroom?
Both work. In the living room, Interstice does very well as a table or accent lamp, framing a reading corner or highlighting a piece of furniture. In the bedroom, its subdued light makes it a pleasant bedside lamp that avoids harsh contrasts when going to bed or waking up. The choice depends mostly on where you want to bring a softer, more graphic source of light to your interior.
Can Interstice be used in a child's room?
Interstice is suitable for a child's room as long as it is used as an ambient lamp and not as the only source of light. Placed on a night table or a shelf, it casts a soft light that is reassuring at bedtime. Like any light fitting, this model must stay out of reach of the youngest and must not be covered with fabric or an object, so that the bulb stays well ventilated.
How do I care for the lamp and extend its life?
The body of Interstice is made from bio-based PLA: it can simply be cleaned with a soft cloth, dry or slightly damp. We recommend avoiding abrasive products and scouring sponges, which could mark the surface. To preserve the colour and the material, the lamp should not be placed directly above a heat source or exposed to extreme temperatures.
