1 – General Provisions

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale apply to all orders placed on the website www.lesarcadiens.fr, published by:

The products offered for sale are mainly design decorative objects, manufactured in our studio in Caen, France.

2 – Definitions

(1) The term “consumer” means any natural person acting for purposes that do not fall within the scope of their commercial, industrial, craft, liberal, or agricultural activity.

(2) The term “customer” means any natural or legal person placing an order on the website.

 

 

3 – Conclusion of the Contract

(1) The presentation of products on the website www.lesarcadiens.fr does not constitute a binding contractual offer but an invitation to place an order.

(2) The contract is concluded once the customer receives an automatic order confirmation email.

(3) The ordering process includes the following steps:

  • Product selection

  • Adding to cart

  • Viewing the cart

  • Order validation

  • Entering billing/shipping information

  • Selecting payment method

  • Acceptance of the GTCS

  • Payment

 

Note: For Colissimo “Point Relais” (pickup point) deliveries, the choice of pickup location is made after payment.


(4) The customer may correct their information before final validation. The contract text is sent by email and remains accessible in the customer’s account area.

 

 

4 – Prices, Payment, and Terms

(1) All prices are listed in euros, VAT included (TTC). Shipping fees are added at checkout.

(2) Accepted payment methods:

  • Credit card (Visa, MasterCard, etc.)

  • PayPal

  • Apple Pay / Google Pay

(3) Orders are processed after payment is received.

 

 

5 – Delivery

(1) Products offered on www.lesarcadiens.fr are made to order to avoid overproduction and reduce waste. This involves a production time of 2 to 7 business days, in addition to shipping time.

(2) In case of exceptionally high demand preventing compliance with this timeframe, Les Arcadiens will notify the customer by email of the revised estimated delivery time. The customer may then cancel their order and receive a full refund, without justification or fees.

(3) Deliveries are made to the address provided by the customer during checkout, limited to the following areas: Metropolitan France, Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands.

(4) Shipments are handled via La Poste – Colissimo, a tracked delivery service without signature.

(5) Delivery times are indicative. If delivery exceeds 30 days after order placement, the sales contract may be terminated by the buyer, who will receive a full refund.

(6) A tracking number is sent by email once the parcel has shipped, allowing tracking on La Poste’s website: https://www.laposte.fr/outils/suivre-vos-envois

(7) Delivery is made to the customer’s home by their postal carrier. In case of absence, a delivery notice will be left, enabling pickup at the nearest post office within the timeframe indicated by postal services.

(8) In accordance with Article L216-4 of the French Consumer Code, transport risks are borne by Les Arcadiens until the parcel is effectively delivered to the customer.

The customer is invited to check the condition of the parcel upon receipt. In case of anomaly (damaged parcel, broken or missing product), any claim must be sent within 3 business days to contact@lesarcadiens.fr, ideally with photos.

(9) In case of temporary workshop closure (holidays, maintenance, etc.), processing and shipping times may be extended.

A visible message indicating the affected period will be displayed on the website (homepage, cart, and/or checkout). The customer may cancel their order if they do not wish to wait.

 

  

6 – Retention of Title

Les Arcadiens retains ownership of the goods sold until full payment of the price by the customer.

 

  

7 – Right of Withdrawal

The customer has a 30-day withdrawal period from receipt of the order, without having to provide a reason.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to personalized products, i.e., items configured via the website’s customization module. These items are made to measure according to the customer’s choices and cannot be returned or exchanged (Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code).


To exercise this right, the customer must notify their decision by either:

  • Sending an email with the order number to contact@lesarcadiens.fr, or

  • Using the return request form.

 

A clear statement of intent to withdraw is sufficient (e.g., by email).

 

In case of withdrawal, Les Arcadiens offers free returns within 30 days.


A prepaid return label will be provided by email.


Les Arcadiens will refund all payments received, including standard delivery fees, within a maximum of 14 business days from receipt of the returned items or proof of shipment.


Refunds will be made using the same payment method as the original purchase.


The customer has 30 days from receipt of the order to notify their decision and return the products. Items must be returned in perfect condition and in their original packaging.

 

 

8 – Defective Products and Claims

In case of a defective product or delivery error, please contact contact@lesarcadiens.fr within 30 days. If the defect is confirmed, Les Arcadiens will cover the return costs and offer either an exchange or a full refund.

 

 

9 – Product Specificities

Products are made from biosourced PLA using 3D printing. This method involves visible striations and slight irregularities, which are part of the artisanal character of the product.


Objects made of PLA are intended for indoor use only. They must not be exposed to temperatures above 40°C, prolonged direct sunlight, or contact with water. A waterproof insert may be provided depending on the intended use. It is recommended to use this insert and check watertightness before each use.


Product colors may slightly differ from visuals displayed online. Les Arcadiens cannot be held liable for display variations caused by screen calibration or device settings.

 

 

10 – Liability

Les Arcadiens disclaims liability for:

  • Improper use of products

  • Damage due to poor maintenance or storage

  • Indirect losses

 

Liability is limited to direct damages caused intentionally or by gross negligence. This limitation does not apply in cases of harm to life, physical integrity, or health.

 

 

11 – Personal Data

Personal data is collected only for the purpose of order management, in accordance with our Privacy Policy:

12 – Governing Law

These GTCS are governed by French law. In case of dispute, an amicable solution will be sought. Failing that, French courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

 

 

13 – Intellectual Property

Les Arcadiens is a registered trademark. All object models offered are original creations protected with the INPI (French National Institute of Industrial Property). Any reproduction, copying, or use without authorization constitutes a violation of intellectual property rights.


All content on www.lesarcadiens.fr – including photos, products, models, logos, visuals, videos, and texts – remains the exclusive intellectual property of Les Arcadiens – Geoffrey Kazmierczak.


No one is authorized to reproduce, exploit, redistribute, or use such elements for any purpose, even partially, without prior written authorization.


Any unauthorized use may constitute infringement, punishable under Articles L.335-2 and following of the French Intellectual Property Code.
