The object

Arc is a design bookend that keeps your books neatly upright while bringing a decorative note to your shelves. A graphic presence, a two-in-one object: its companion module turns the bookend into a vase for a single stem in one movement. Made to hold function and beauty together, Arc orders your books while composing a delicate scene from a few fresh or dried flowers. Its organic arches play with light and shadow, giving depth to a shelf, a desk or a sideboard. More than an accessory, it is a piece with character that finds its place in your home quite naturally.

Arc as a bud vase on one side, as a bookend on the other

01

One object, two functions: bookend and design vase

Arc stands out for its versatility: it can be used as an unusual bookend to order your collection, or as a design vase to show off your flowers. Moving from one function to the other is immediate: simply slide the watertight insert onto its holder and your shelf support becomes a vase for a single stem. A few stems, a small bouquet or dried flowers are enough to create a new composition on your shelf. This modular design lets the style of your interior evolve without multiplying objects, while keeping everything in order.

The materials of the Arc special edition: Angers slate, crushed brick, wheat

02

A special edition that celebrates the circular economy

This limited series of bookends explores new textures born from the reuse of French natural resources. For its slate, clay and wheat tones, Arc takes on raw materials that evoke ceramic and terracotta while staying light. By working recycled materials from farming and industry into the piece, each bookend becomes an object with a character of its own. Slate from the quarries of Anjou, clay from crushed bricks, wheat residue from the cereal industry: these components give every piece a unique grain and a deep matt finish. Arc embodies an approach in which the material shapes the aesthetic and celebrates the circular economy.

03

Local making and bio-based materials

Arc is made in small batches in our workshop in Caen. We chose a high-quality PLA, a bio-based material derived from corn starch, for its matt finish and its velvety touch. This bioplastic allows clean curves and precise edges while limiting environmental impact. So that function suffers no compromise, the removable insert made for flowers is produced in recycled PETG, sourced in particular from plastic bottles, which keeps your fresh arrangements perfectly watertight. Local, measured making turns every Arc bookend into a lasting object, made to accompany your books day after day.

A few tipsUse & care

Use and care

Every Arc is unique: small-batch making can reveal slight variations in texture that speak of its craft origins. The bookend is intended for indoor use only and should not be exposed to a direct heat source, so that the quality of the material is preserved. The PLA body is not made for prolonged contact with water, so it is essential to always use the watertight insert when you use Arc as a vase. To keep the object in good condition, change the water regularly and avoid letting it stand too long at the bottom of the insert. A simple dusting with a soft cloth is enough to keep your design bookend and its natural tones looking their best.

A design bookend for every room in the house

Thanks to its architectural silhouette and its soft curves, Arc sits naturally in many rooms: the bookshelf in the living room, a desk, a bedroom or a reading corner. Placed at the end of a row, it brings colour and refinement to your shelves. Used as a vase, it creates a colourful accent on a low unit, a console or a table. Whether it accompanies novels, art books or a few children's titles, this design bookend brings order, personality and calm to the space.

Who is Arc for?

Arc is for readers who want to organise their books with care and style while adding a design note to their shelves. It suits professionals looking for a tidying solution for their workspace just as well as anyone who enjoys composing shelves that mix books, objects and vases. In a bedroom, it creates an inspiring reading corner, pairing a few chosen titles with a delicate single stem. If you are looking for a design bookend able to order your rows of books while bringing a poetic note to your home, Arc was made for exactly that.

Frequently asked questions4 réponses

Is Arc stable enough to hold large books?

Yes. Arc was designed as a bookend made for everyday use: its base offers good stability to hold your books, whether novels, art books or reference works. Placed on a shelf, a desk or a bedside table, it helps keep your books upright while bringing a decorative note to the room.

How do I choose the ideal spot for Arc?

Arc easily finds its place wherever you want to bring order to the space: on a shelf, in the middle of a row of books or on a low unit. In the living room, it can frame the books you like to keep within reach; on a desk or beside your bed, it creates a small reading corner in harmony with your favourite titles. What matters is placing it where its silhouette and its curves can converse with the other objects around it. In its softer tones, pink, yellow, white or even purple, it also makes a lovely object for a child's room.

Can I use Arc as a vase every day?

Arc was made to hold flowers regularly, thanks to its removable watertight insert. Simply slide the insert between the arches to turn the bookend into a vase and add a few stems or a small bouquet. To preserve the object over time, we recommend changing the water regularly and avoiding letting it stand at the bottom of the insert for too long.

What materials are Arc and its vase made from?

The body of the bookend is made from PLA, a bio-based material derived from corn starch, sometimes enriched with recycled resources (slate, clay, wheat) depending on the edition. This gives a matt finish, a soft touch and a beautiful depth of colour. The watertight insert that turns Arc into a vase is made from recycled PETG, sourced in particular from bottles, for good water resistance within a circular economy approach.
